
Leadership Franklin Begins
It's not too late to apply for Leadership Franklin. ABOUT LEADERSHIP FRANKLIN Leadership Franklin is the ideal program for preparing the future leaders of our community. For over 20 years, Leadership Franklin has provided businesses and community leaders with the opportunity to discover Franklin County while building lasting relationships with professional peers. Leadership Franklin provides a diverse group of existing and emerging leaders with a unique opportunity to experience many of the challenges and opportunities facing Franklin County. Participants complete the program, which begins in April and concludes in December that is comprised of a series of seven full-day sessions over 9 months. They experience first-hand the resources that Franklin County has to offer including visits to Maria Parham Franklin, Novozymes North America, Wake Electric Membership Corporation, Triangle North Executive Airport, Franklin County facilities, Franklin County Schools, Vance-Granville Community College and Louisburg College and many more. The group tours a broad range of Franklin County’s agricultural and livestock facilities and farms, and meets with the Agricultural Extension Services, and also travel to Raleigh and to the Legislative building, to see where legislation is debated that might affect commerce in Franklin County. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the Leadership Franklin program are to identify and inspire potential community leaders to acquaint these leaders with major community issues and to examine the complexity of finding good solutions for ongoing concerns. In addition, the program allows participants the opportunity to meet and interact with community leaders as well as to investigate leadership ethics and values and to assist participants in expanding their leadership skills.
