Cashier - Part Time

About Us:
Cooperative Services Center, Inc. is the Call Center and Customer Services Center for Wake Electric Membership Corporation.  Wake Electric is an Electric Utility Cooperative.

Receiving payments from customers for their electric bills. Enter customers' transactions into the computer and record each transaction and issue computer generated receipt. Maintain a sufficient supply of cash to meet daily demands. Receive and count daily inventories of cash and checks; balance out at the end of each shift. Answer general questions about customer accounts.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 20 hours per week/4 hours per day.

Hiring Range: $12.12 - $13.13 per hour depending on experience.

*This position reports to Customer Service Supervisor

Principal Duties and/or Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude when dealing with customers and coworkers. 
  • Have a friendly and outgoing personality. 
  • Have adequate math skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.

*Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug test.
